Polish, Turkish Economic Forum Addresses Green Technology

(MENAFN) The fourth edition of the Polish-Turkish Economic Forum is set to commence on Wednesday in Istanbul, spotlighting advancements in eco-friendly technologies and the shift toward sustainable energy.

This year’s forum holds additional relevance due to the upcoming Polish presidential elections scheduled for the first half of 2025, which will introduce a broader European Union dimension into the conversation.

This gathering is being arranged through the collaboration of Poland’s diplomatic posts in Türkiye along with the Istanbul branch of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

On the Turkish side, the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK) is acting as the principal partner in hosting the event.

The opening dialogue of the forum will adopt an expansive perspective to explore how the environmentally conscious sector could influence both energy resilience and financial stability.

The session will draw upon the experiences of both Poland and Türkiye, with an emphasis on the involvement of the EU in these sectors.

Among the speakers will be Ambassador Zafer Ates, who is also “the director general of Energy, Environment and Transboundary Waters” from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Also taking part is Christian Ballaro, “attache, program officer for Energy and Climate Change” from the EU delegation in Türkiye.

Industry representatives participating in the discussions include İhsan Erbil Baycol, “CEO, Enerjisa Uretim”; Kaan Dokmetas, “CGSO, Elin Türkiye”; and Filiz Avsar Aktas, “board member of Smart Solar Technologies.”

Their presence underscores the vital role of private enterprises in driving sustainable energy practices and innovation.
